Products with a public
Four things we built and run ourselves, used by people who have never heard of us.
Guides to settling in Portugal, a residence permit, a doctor, a school, for anyone who arrives and anyone who searches. Run by the non-profit’s own volunteers, every edit signed, dated and reversible.
Logic practice for university students, rebuilt from a 2008 program. Students have answered 21,000 questions since July, many of them in Asia. “I’m so glad someone took the effort to do this.”
A short list of jobs worth applying for, not a feed. Designers choose which companies to watch and which roles make the cut, and over half of beta users applied to one of their picks.
The week in Portuguese startups in one read, and a calendar of every design and software event in the country that anyone can add to.
What we enable
Because of something we built, a person escaping the war in Ukraine found a room, from Germany to Toronto, through a matching tool we made in 2022 with friends; more than 200 people found a home that way. A newcomer to Portugal sorts out a residence permit, a doctor or a school with Lisbon Project’s guides, kept current by its own team on a platform we built. A student anywhere can learn and practise logic on any device. A designer applies for a job from a short list that designers chose, not a feed. And a designer or developer in Lisbon has a desk and company every Friday, and a 1:1 mentoring session with senior designers.
